DIY with WalnutPi Development Board
The WalnutPi is a compact, low-cost single-board computer. For users who already own a WalnutPi 2B or other Linux development board, you can install Home Assistant on your WalnutPi system yourself.
Install Using Image
WalnutPi officially provides images pre-installed with Home Assistant, compatible with all WalnutPi Linux development boards. Simply flash the image and power on to get started. For image flashing instructions, refer to the System Image Flashing section.
The WalnutPi 2B 2GB/4GB variants can use the Home Assistant Desktop or Server edition images. The 1GB variant has limited memory and can only use the Home Assistant Server edition image. We recommend using the 2GB/4GB version — having a desktop makes initial configuration much easier.
After installation, proceed to the next section for initial configuration.
